Attitude to Death, Perception and Educational Training Needs on the End-of-Life Care on Caregiver

Abstract
PURPOSE : The purpose of this study was to confirm the attitude to death and perception and training needs on the end-of-life care and use the result as the basic date to develop an efficient education program.

METHOD : Research participants of this study were 124 caregivers. A self-report instrument was used to measure attitude, preception and education needs. The collected data were analyzed included real, percentage, mean and standard deviation, pearson¡¯s coefficient using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program

RESULTS : According to the result of this study, the attitude to death score was 2.85 out of 4, perception score was 2.14 out of 4 and education needs score was 2.42 out of 4. In the relationship between the attitude to death and perception and education needs were positive correlation while the perception and education needs were negative correlation

CONCLUSION : In order to change positive attitude to death and increase perception about end-of-life care, it is necessary to develop education program. Also further research is necessary to verify the effect by applying the developed program.
